The matrix of inspiration :

The world of 3D Imaging, O.Meulien Öhlmann, 2010

It is possible that James Cameroun makes more for the media photonics than artists and scientists did themselves: But without the works of this small community the present achievements in 3D imagining would not have happened.

Daussman Holographic Research Industry with Odile Meulien Ohlmann Germany
Germany does a lot of research in optical and lasers engineering.. After the fascination of the 80ies for holographic images, numerous exhibitions and collection like the one of Fielmann and Mattias Lauk, German media specialists claimed in the 90ies that holography as visual media was dead. With Syn4D launching the digital Hologram „Synfogram“ in 1996, and the multiplication of various 3Dcomputer Imaging process Germany sees the arrival of many small companies in 3D visualization –stereoscopy , video, and camera recording system.

Dr. Tung H. Jeong (better known as "T.J.") USA is a professor emeritus at Lake Forest College , Lake Forest , Illinois , and has over 35 years of experience in holography. A teacher at heart, T.J has led the field of holography as researcher, innovator, consultant, and, most significantly, educator. TJ is a key figure in the organization of the famous Lake Forest Symposium which used to put together scientists artists, engineers, students and teachers. Although, the place is now changing, TJ is still one of the main active organizer of this international meeting, a real source of inspiration and contact for a small community spread over the continents.

Artist Francois Mazzero and Dietmar Ohlmann Fascinated by astronomy he learned holography alone in the region of Strasbourg . After seeing an exhibition organized by Michel Grosmann, professor of Physics at the Pasteur University . Mazzero is very known for his powerful large format transmission hologram. He contributed to “La Villette”one of the first large format transmission hologram representing the Museum of technique in Paris , and done with 9 masters. He also made the series about “Leonardo da Vinci”. Guided by the light reflection from planets, to objects and optics, he now collects fine opal, which he found inside lava with holes in Ethiopia at 3200m of altitude: He is studying the diffraction efficiency of these opal and their exquisite colors.

In 2000, the online magazine contributed to a new network of information. Since then, artBridge's involvement has developed a rare collection of information in the field of the art and media photonics. The research papers, art critics, reports, interviews here listed, have been produced from insiders, artists, scientists, educators, willing to transmit their experience. Over the years they represent a real source of inspiration. We do provide special consulting for museums and institutions looking for further information on people, artworks and techniques.

Martina Mrongovius, artist , Australia. Martina many supports, many expressions, many media, the many everywhere or the single in the multiple and the multiple to create the single. Martina uses the fuzzy edge of physics to explore the structure of creative projects. She wants to reconstruct pieces and need to use the whole. A combinations of pieces. is a combination of scenes, setting up a physically impossible yet readable coexistence of form. In 2004 she completed an Honours degree in Applied Physics and got her PhD on holographic image design through the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory at RMIT University. Martina has contributed holograms to exhibitions in Australia, the UK, Korea, the USA and Chile, with solo exhibitions in Melbourne and New York.

Richard Bruck, artist. USA. He first started with Photography before discovering holography at the museum of Chicago. Richard did and does a lot of teaching in Ilinois. There is build his laboratory and besides working on his own artwork he collaborated and produced works for others artistslate Michigan artist Richard Kline, Anait Stephens, Douglas Tyler, and Harriet Casdin-Silver, some work of which is in the collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Rudie Berkhout, one of the most known holographic artists recently died as he lived. At 60 years old Rudie never wake up from a nap while listening music on his armchair. Contemplation, peace, fascination for light, respect for the nature, and aesthete. Rudie was to holography what impressionist were to the painting. He used to observe the light reflection and try to capture what the nature was creating. His works have been done with the natural elements; light, sand, water, trying to explore his “ New Territories ”.In my numerous exhibitions, Rudie's works, especially his transmission rainbow holograms, with their images floating up to 2 meters in space, fascinated all visitors young as old ones

Dr. Hans Bjelkhagen, is a scientist from Sweden who travel from Germany , France , America , and now based in Wales . Optictechnium. His main work is related to the dichromate gelatine, obtaining exquisite colors holograms. Hans is also one who is contributing to make holography more public known. He did the pulsed portrait of the President Ronald Reagan while based in Chicago , and now conducts research and educational programs
